A little lighting experiment using the "Fear Of The Dark" picture. In the original one, I darkened the scene using a layer of black set at 40% Opacity. A week or so later, I saw
Beebus reblog this post, which, summed up, says that you should NEVER use black for shading/lighting, and that you should try using colours instead, depending on what the lighting calls for.
I decided to give it a shot, giving this pic a layer of dark blue, set to Multiply and 70% opacity (I kept the eyes on a different layer since they're meant to glow in the dark). I feel like this version gives it much more of that feeling of "It's a dark night and you're NOT supposed to be here", which is what I was aiming for with the original pic. :3
