This gentle bronze hexadragon wants nothing more than to cuddle with his kitten and observe the beauty of nature and it's creatures... A long time coming commission for Ksilebo! I have one more I'm going to do for him too, hopefully by tuesday if I can. I did this one first in graphite, then after scanning it used the 'multiply' feature to colour underneath the graphite piece. This is a pretty old drawing, that's how long it took me to get to finishing it... But I feel like I couldn't have coloured it this well if I had done it back then (not the reason I waited, but still). It was a LOT of fun, and good practice with my tablet. I'm told I should try chunky oil pastels in Painter if I'm going to do more digital stuff.

someting out of the ordinary for a change again. very beautiful, and the warm and calm atmosphere adds to it. curious design... never heard of hexadragons.
the image is not too dark here; my own TFT gives me trouble, too. but looks good here.
"I know it's in the eye of the beholder... but this guy got six of them, so which eye is it then?"

This one is just too perfect! The soft but striking lighting, the pose, the way you managed to keep such a complex character simple and the image not feeling cluttered, and the sheer detail in even the smallest things (the dragonfly and the kitten) all combine for one fantastic image :3
