got the flats on talon done :D (note: I leave the eyes for the very last) and the color pallets (glowy book will be glowy)
next the flats and pallets for the dragons D:
I already have 16 layers, I think I might hit 50 plus by the time I'm done
I decided to put screen shots every now and then so you can keep up with progress

why am I putting so much work into this?
1) I love his Dragon knights books ^^ so I want to show my appreciation for them
2) I was very inspired by the idea so I feel compelled to put a lot of detail
3) It will be a test of my skills (it should show a large improvement in areas such as colors use, shading, lighting, and texture)
4) I consider Talon to be a good friend and I don't want to disappoint ^^
