There legal in some states in fact. But you need a permit. I knew a place in Riverhead Long Island that had a couple...but that was about 10 years ago.

They require a LOT of special household needs though. Foxes can be very destructive. Full of energy, and love to dig...as in, into your walls and stuff. there a big commitment.

that said, if I had the right environment, and time...I'd love to have one too.

Plus fennecs are great for people with allergies as they don't give off that dander that sets them off. Part of there adapted-to-the-desert physiology.
