So I did this for a new ID for my front page, for October. Something horror themed. So what better horror and funnest to make than some Lovecratian terrors.
If anyone is looking for some good horror to read for the Halloween mood, I strongly suggest H.P. Lovecraft. His works are extremely atmospheric and stick with you long after you've read the story. And his writings aren't too long either if length/time concerns you, he specialized in short stories which is where horror is strongest IMO. Some stories are only a few pages long to short novellas.
And no, this isn't something tentacle rape related x3 slime and tentacles were just a common element in Lovecraft lore. Ya know, Cthulhu mythos and all heh.

Don't feel too bad, I thought the same thing, and had to wonder how it was being labled as general audiences with that there... Till I read the description, though I still think GA could be uped to the mature label... I mean that slime could have been made more non-white, couldn't it? not that I'm complaining, I love the "unintended" implications...
also I noticed that so far 7 people have faved the other version that you explicitly told them not to do exactly that... boy, even when it's only one sentence, they still don't listen...
Also I am familiar with Cthulu, but I've never had the pleasure of reading any of Lovecrafts work.
I personally would reccomend Edgar Allan Poe, I have a book of his collected works, and loved his stories in so many different forms all my life. (the Simpsons take on the Raven comes directly to mind)
Plus he invented the word pyjamas you know...
