Indeed! They killed our only piece of coral though :(

Yep, and they've adapted some creative uses for them, like drilling though clam shells for instance...I'm a giant invertebrate nerd.

The big boy, is the biggest in the tank. The little one is from a mix of like...8 we got from the store (we needed a few more due to an influx of algae growth. I blame the new food we were integrating)

I hear you. Algae can be a massive pain, especially if you are establishing a planted tank and you can't use plecos or snails because they'll eat the plants. My tank was a green could for months until the java ferns started to suck the nitrogen out of the water...

Did your snails solve the problem?

I've actually watched snails drill too. I was on a field research trip. I can't imagine what kind of horror the clam feels (if indeed it feels horror at all...).

Snails solved the problem, indeed. They left cool little trails that looked like scales through the algae as they cleaned it up

It's probably weird that I think snail trails are cute.
