Species: Phoenox (Fox/Phoenix)

Lore: The phoenox species was created eons ago when a phoenix came to fall in love with a kitsune. Sadly due to the phoenix's almost immortal spirit, the phoenix long outlived it's love. And even with children to look after, the phoenix eventually died of a broken heart. The Phoenox stayed together as a clan, and defended the roost of their parent long after their passing. This is how they developed their fighting spirit. Even after ages have passed, traditions still stood that they train to fight to protect the nest. The triangle became the symbol of luck amongst their tribe, and many, paint the mark upon their foreheads. They are a very family based society, and protective of those they consider family or friend. They do not always fight, some have been known to leave and try to find peace or someone they can call their own love.

Anatomy: A Phoenox is much like a phoenix. When they die they have the chance that they may rise again. But due to breeding to another species, it is not infinite, eventually they can and will die. No Phoenox has been known to rise more than 7 times. Known to be fierce loyal warriors, when fighting in rage their feathers are known to catch fire, their tail will split to 7 tails before catching fire (to appear as a fiery birds tail). Also while enraged, their eyes will turn completely black and their eyes will emit smoke.

Character: The character I am entering into this competition is this species and one that has left "the nest." They have experienced the pain and torment of death twice already. And no longer wanting to experience that anguish again, set out to find a more regulated life. One where it could find friends and/or family of their own. An expedition to find who they truly are... An adventure.

Yes, I purposely left the character gender neutral for Acaris's chosing. I figured I would put a little bit of a back story, to hopefully make the character seem more appealing. Hopefully, I didn't do the opposite by setting up the character like this...

One of the artists I stalk on dA, Acaris is having a contest to create an alter ego that she can have/use. I know she likes Renamon, so I used Renamon's body as a base. She mentioned possibly birds and mythical creatures so I thought of a phoenix. So here is a fox phoenix based off Renamon. I am really proud of how it came out <<3
