So while watching another artist's livestream, I came upon the idea of a steampunk Tinkerbell, and had to draw her. So here she is, with her coal powered flutterwing backpack and modified clothing.
CharlieG says: If the things on her back (not the wings) are guns, Captain Crook had better beware of Clinkerbell...
-sigh- I obviously suck at mechanics... those are supposed to be piston controlled wings, but they really wouldn't work well like that, would they? CharlieG isn't the only one who thinks they look like guns. Ah well...

Cool idea.
Now I cant help thinking about how piston wings should work;
I'm thinking 2 two-way steam pistons(in and out) mounted to a universal hinge on the middle of her back and raised from it by about 2.5 times the diameter of said pistons. The other ends of the pistons will be attached to the wings near the tips with more hinges. To fly, the pistons are rapidly switched from extending to contracting and back, this should cause the wing tips to ossillate and the wings to 'flap'.
Sorry, Tired.
