I'm walking through a deep dark jungle
Far from familiar territory
Strange sounds all around
Making me fear what lies beyond my next step
Creatures I don't recognize
Shift their glowing, fearful eyes
To rest upon my nervous form
As I continue down this path
I feel alone
I feel forlorn
Like in this eerie
Overwhelming new world
I am the only one who understands me
I am within
Whilst everyone else is outside of themselves
Seeking prey to feast upon
With no consideration for the fragility of beauty...

A drawing I did to describe somewhat what I'm feeling right now. I have my loving girlfriend, but I'm living in a place far from where I was raised, and from the people I'm familiar with and love. I'm living with people I barely know, who don't understand me at all, it seems. People who don't see beauty like I do, who don't understand this world in the sense that I do. It makes me feel like I'm traversing unfamiliar territory all alone, even though I'm surrounded with life.

Its not /exactly/ how I feel, because I do have my girlfriend, and she does love me, understand me, and help me through everything. I just wanted to pour my emotion into it to make it a stronger piece. :3

On another note, I've realized I'm terrible with jungle scenes. >.>;; I need to work on that.
