I'd have to agree. XD And although he said there were problems I'm going to submit this very same (un-altered) image for the final project. There's a large number of people betting that he won't remember that he had so many issues with it. I just couldn't bring myself to redo it. I'm too attached to this one. XD

Well, I can see some areas of dubiousness, like I can't tell if there are two legs or one leg with a fin, but I wouldn't call it an "anatomy issue."

Who's he to say it's an anatomy issue, if it's an IMAGINARY combination of dolphin and human? Is there a "right" one?

although the only anatomical correction i can see is with the shoulder joint. it looks like instead of two bones in the arm, there are three. but that's just me.

but this is a very clever design, and it's probably the ONLY dolphin anthro that I've found personally appealing o.o

Very awesome.

I can spot the odd things on the dolphin part
primarily the dorsal fin is the wrong shape, it's more rounded on a bottlenose dolphin than a point
and the dorsal is also too high up on the body, it's typically half-way of the length
The tail is also too long, and the tail stalk goes through the flukes just a inch or two too far. :P

Though seriously, it's a anthro, anthros can be very different from there animal counter-parts. And it's art, so nobody should care too much about the differences. :P

Great take on the anthro dolphin! Anatomically, I think this works better than the sea-anthros I do. I don't see why your teacher would find it so flawed- it's a fantasy creature and a well done one. :>

the only thing i'd say is that the limbs look too "wimpy"
I understand that they probably aren't used a whole lot, but they still look a little weak, almost sea-bound. (unless that's your point)
