I lie the idea of subtle shipping, like the one you did with Octavia having Vinyl's googles. I also saw a really good one that was just mugshots of ponies with a caption under, and the caption for Vinyl was "Classical music fan" and the captio for OCtavia was "Techno music fan" I found that to bean amusing little nod, even tough my personal version of Octavia would rather rinse her own ears out with an icepick than listen to popular music. (Tough that interpetation is softening up as I continue writing, in this story I wrote (http://www.fimfiction.net/story/45615/Cool-Jazz) I strongly imply that Octavia is moonlighting as the bassist of a local ja band, so apparently somepony made her soften up...
