Todd doesn't seem to be getting the drunken humor at a table full of friends and family. Being allergic to alcohol, he couldn't join in even if he wanted to.
I'm not sure where the inspiration came from for this last night but I've definitely been here and done this though not in as quite a fine a company as this. And not always as genial either. This was quite the difficult concept to get onto paper too. It took 5 or 6 sketch attempts and after a couple of false starts on a couple of those attemps, I think I went back to number 3 to get this. What you see took me the better part of the day while I've been going through submissions on FA today. I don't know that I've worked on a more challenging image than this one in years.

Multiple characters is never easy for me, so I applaud your scene. I've been in this situation before. it can be a bit tough during the evening when friends are having a great time (Even if sloppy) but hey, you have all the blackmail information and photos after the night is over :P Nice work!
Glad you liked the picture. Unlike many 'crowd' scenes I've done similar to this (with forced perspective), this one was the most fun to do. As for that last part, that's the beauty of drawing your own stuff. You set the rules of the reality of the picture, not a bunch of self absorbed twits or 'society'. It just seemed to fit the characters and the situation too.
