everybody's gotta start somewhere. ^_^
Looks good so far!
I'm no expert on shading, but when doing do it's best to focus on depth, or at least that's what I've been told.
An example would be shading around the corners of the eyes. I'm not very good at explaining.
None the less, it still came out very nice for an unfinished drawing.
