Previous • NextThe angelfish never ventured any further in the Fish Freeway ever again.
The Corydoras catfish live in oxygen-poor streams, so they go to the surface to breathe. They live on the bottom of the tank, and when they are ready to breathe, they hover near the bottom for a bit, then shoot up to the top and back down really fast. (Setup for future episode...)

OMG it was too funny when I saw it happen!
The fish slowly floated up...was really wary...but had seen the guppies go up there and come back. And angelfish detest guppies - so it was probably thinking something like ''Well, if a guppy can do it, I certainly can!''
The moment its eyes went above the top of the tank, they just kinda bugged-out, looked around, and the fish slowly floated back down.
It then shuddered...like trying to shake off the whole experience...and none of the angelfish ever tried it again!

All of the stories in this comic strip are absolutely real and actually happened! Okis...the fish didn't talk...but they sure acted like what I'm making them say! I haven't had to make up any stories at all for this strip...and there's lots more to come! (I think the next episode is made up...as it was a funny idea from 
VGM22...but except for that one all the future ones I've drawn so far are true too!)
I haven't had fish for a little less than ten years now...but all of the fishy adventures I'm drawing were from about 1977 through 1987. There really were two mischevious crabs...the kuhlii loaches squished themselves into the smallest space possible...there was a fish freeway...the guy asked me if I was going to make a bong out of it...some fish lived in a rain gutter on the patio...there really was a Frankenbug...the fish vacationed in the swimming pool... Oh, wait. I'm getting quite ahead of myself here! I haven't even drawn two of these yet!!! XD
