Encyclopedia - Malakye's Story
Okay, so here it is the long mentioned Encylopedia that I've been promising to post for the last long while. From this you can get descriptions of various words that have already appeared in the story 'A Place to Belong'. You will also find many descriptions that never appeared in the story and many decriptions of places and races.
Please take note that some of these descriptions are here purley for background because something related to them got mentioned early on and I just kept going adding to it because I mentioned something in a previous entry I felt that some readers would want more described. Some entries are relevent to the story and you may get some insight to how the story will go and even get some spoilers. In any case, I hope you enjoy!

by a large group of Tribal Outcasts on the Northern Edge of the lands claimed by the
Draconians. The village has been subject of numerous attacks from various villages the shun

location of the village and the drug trade from the Lytium Flowers* from the Valley.
It is a prime spot for travellers and merchants to rest and restock before continuing with their
journey. The land is rich and fertile and with the river that runs through the centre of the
village it acts like a port of sorts as the Dalton River* runs east to west through the tribal
lands all the way to the other side of the Tribal lands. The village are faithful followers of
the 12 Deities, particularly Hesh'na and Gias.
Due to the fact the villages only source of natural income is from the farms, tourism or drugs
many do not wish to work the farms and cannot afford to open a hotel of which there are

The bush was named after a Jackle that was a well known alchemist. He bred various plants,
trying to take their strongest properties to create an sturdy and nutricious food source, one
durable enough to grow in the harsh deserts like the ones he grew up in to bring wealth and
prosperity to his people. He died shortly after breeding this plant after sampling another
berry form another bush he had bred, however the berry was incredibly poisonous and looks
almost identical to the Thorax Bush. The only difference between them is the shape of the
berries that grow on them. The other berries are called Mortus Berries*.
Tribal lands – The Northern lands where there is mostly open plains. Within the area there are over
80 separate Villages. In these villages, the same types of species tend to gather and live,
following the teachings of one or more of the Twelve Guardian Deities.*
Over time many of the Tribal people break away from the rural way of life and and have set
up villages of their own where they are not restricted by the traditions of the Tribes but these
settlements are scorned by most of the Tribes and have on occasion been attacked by the
tribes but since the population of these villages have grown to the point where they out
number many of the Tribes the attacks have been few and far between.
War between tribes is also common but the longest and bloodiest of these wars in the history
of the tribes is that of the one between many of the Wolven Tribes and the Draconian Tribes,
which unlike many other wars where it is tribe against tribe, it is a full on species war. Many
Wolven tribes will fight any race of Dragon that cross their path.
Tribal Villages – The Villages that have been around for hundreds of years following the teachings
of the Twelve Guardian Deities*. Each village chooses to follow the teachings of one or
more of the Deities more closely than the others but all are educated in the ways of the
twelve.
The Teachings of the twelve bestow understanding of the lands and moral rules to follow. In
the past few generations more and more are moving away from the rural and primitive life
styles that most Tribal villages live in. This has lead to several new settlements having been
founded by such furs as many look for protection and safety with others like themselves.
Many of the more strict and traditional villages, in particular the majority of the wolven
villages have taken a strong objection to such settlements having been founded. In the early
years of this sudden upheaval of beliefs these new settlements were attacked and many were
killed. Since then the villages have grown in size, and are large enough to be able to fend off
such attacks. Some of the Tribal Villages however have accepted these new settlements, and
have even slackened their own traditionalist views within their villages.
This was one of the factors that were the caused the hatred of Dragons in many of the
wolven Villages, and consequently restarted the war between their species, which has lasted
for over 10 generations. Around the time that these new villages began to appear, the
draconian villages sympathised with the homeless refugees and gave away part of their own
lands to help them settle and build their new settlements.
(The) Twelve Guardian Deities – Refer to the Character Summary for details.* Living in the
world, hidden from sight but worshipped by many for their powers and abilities. They

strength here awaiting the moment they can break the barrier stopping them from entering
the real world. Created by Asurmen* to imprison his brother for attempting his coup-de-ta,
and rule the real world and enslave it's inhabitants.
Here the dark energies spawn vile, vicious creatures and turn those from the real world into
unrecognisable monsters that serve Maugen Ra and his children.
This world has been referred to as hell by many scholars and depicted most commonly as a
fiery wasteland, a world of decay, betrayal and murder. A world where souls condemned by
the Guardian Deity* Kunsel are banished to, after being found to be too tainted and evil to
remain in the Cycle*.

largest market places among the Tribal lands due to the large amount of merchants that pass
through. The village is populated by a large variety of species.
The original village of Zangar was located in the Zangarian Mountains* which was
destroyed by an attack of several Wolven villages. This attack happened 15 to 16 years ago.
It was said that in the mountains the hidden shrine of Jan'Zar is hidden in the mountain
range and that this was one of the reasons for the attack. Most Wolven Tribal Villages
closely follow the teachings of Jan'Zar, the Guardian Diety* of War, and did not want
their enemies to have in their possession the shrine of their most sacred of Dieties. The
Shrine however was never found by the wolven tribes.
Zangarian Dragon - A species of Dragon that is most commonly found in the trading village of
Zangar* and the Zangarian Mountains* which are few miles away from the village. They
have Dark Grey/Black scales, leathery wings and have white horns on their heads, down
their backs to the tips of their tails they have short stubby horns. Pure breeds don't have any
type of fur or hair on their bodies.
Zangarian Mountains – A large mountain range in the Eastern Tribal Lands*. Where the original
Tribal Village of Zangar* originally was built.
After a combined attack from several wolven Villages the Village of Zangar* was destroyed
and the survivors created the new village of Zangar* a few miles from the mountains which
became a bustling trading village. Rumours suggest that some of the survivors from the last
house of Zangar* returned to the mountains in order to continue their lives there but no one
has heard from or seen them since.

Thorax bush – A bush that only grows in Garavdian Valley*. It can take as long as five winters for
this bush to grow berries from one batch to the next. The berries, commonly known as
Porlutus Berry*, are made into Garavdian Wine*.
They
protect the world from invasion from the forces of the Underworld*.
Uu
Underworld – Prison world of Maugen Ra* and his Children, the Demon Lords*, who rally their
strength here awaiting the moment they can break the barrier stopping them from entering
the real world.

Zambal Stew – A Stew most commonly made with spices giving it a fiery after taste. Most
commonly made from Horishmas*.
Zangar – A village of Dragons that is located in the Zangarian Plain several miles west from the
Zangarian Mountains* on one of the main trade routes in the Tribal lands*. Has one of the
largest market places among the Tribal lands due to the large amount of merchants that pass
