EVEN MORE preparatory shots! This is actually one of the preparatory shots (I'm actually accomplishing stuff here for myself, not just flapping my gums about prepping fall shots) for fall leaves, and this is in a local nature preserve/park. There's a land bridge in the back of the park that I scouted out, and while hanging upside-down from a branch (I had some cheap equipment for safety), and with my tripod and camera aimed very low over the water and a self-timer active, I got this shot. I love shots like these where you have to do wacky stuff to get to them (e.g. climbing a flagpole, trespassing and getting soaked, illegal pyrotechnics [some of this stuff was never uploaded for multiple reasons], etc.). They seem to turn out really well with patience. And careful movement, or a lack thereof.
Now, I just got an awesome idea for another photo while typing this up, and I need to get my stuff prepped for that and get info on how to capture storm clouds.

In light of your description on the efforts you have to make to get good shots your efforts on this shot are neat. The way this shot looks like either you were on a boat or were standing in the middle of the body of water, and I would never would have guessed you were on a land bridge of some sort. It would be neat if you can return to this same place and take different shots during different seasons (assuming you have different seasons where you live) to get an idea of how this scenery evolves over time.
