REFERENCE FOR TALUTHUS'S JACKET "Coat of Famine"
OK! So as many of you may know, Tal's jacket has the ability to consume things. What some of you many not know is that as it consumes more flesh it transforms, changes, and goes through several stages from ratty old jacket to full blown fullbody trenchcoat.
was kind enough to work with me on solidifying and illustrating this process! :D This will also serve as a reference for Tals jacket, from which those wishing to draw Tal wearing it, can come for reference should then need it..
It is also noted that
came up with the ideas of the other t shirts you dee displayed here. Consider them added to Tals wardrobe >;3

Theory did such a good job of the description, I see no reason to change it.
‘Coat of Famine’ Tiers of Complexity
Tier 1
168 Hours without Nourishment from Tier 2.
This is the coat in its weakest state. Aesthetically, the coat is in poor condition: the fabric is discolored and extremely brittle, with large sections missing from day-to-day use. The muscular fiber lining of the jacket is clearly visible and pulsates when lifeforms are nearby. In addition, the jacket is just an inch or so short of the waistline. There are no pockets, nor is there a front zipper. In this state, wearing it would be considered very unwise as the coat is only able to consume whoever wears it. It’s signal being the body heat of those careless or unknowing enough to wear it. The coat will envelop the wearer in a layer of red fabric and slowly be digested down for the coat’s sustenance. The picture shown is Taluthus’s twin brother wearing the coat just moments before being consumed.
Tier 2
100-350 Pounds (45.36-158.76 Kilograms) of Biomatter Consumed from Tier 1.
168 Hours without Nourishment from Tier 3.
A consistent, but reserved, diet of fruits, vegetables or the likely pedestrian yields a decent black jacket. All ‘wounds’ on the jacket are completely healed, and the exterior fabric is akin to tough denim. A front zipper and two pockets form on the jacket, in addition two metallic protrusions appear on the shoulder pads. In this state, the jacket is safe to wear. In order for it to consume more biomatter, the wearer must stretch the coat’s fabric around their victim. Essentially ‘hugging’ them from within the jacket. From there, the Coat of Famine does the rest of the work, cocooning its meal in the impenetrable fabric to be digested and turned into nutrients for more assets.
Tier 3
500-1400 Pounds (226.80-635.03 Kilograms) of Biomatter Consumed from Tier 2.
168 Hours without Nourishment from Tier 4.
Maintaining a jacket diet of roughly one person a day will yield a more intricate jacket. Previous additions become larger and more prominent. Such as: the metal bumps forming into spikes, the zipper becoming larger, the pockets becoming deeper and including a zipper, and the jacket’s fabric becoming stretchier. A fringe is added to the bottom, asymmetrical for the sake of fashion. The shoulder pads and collar are tinted red. And lastly, two small chains dangle from the inside to the jacket. And help with the voring process whenever prey is snared. It is to note, that the pockets in this stage are also capable of sprouting tendrils to snare and pull in prey. This attribute will carry on to future Tiers.
Tier 4
3200-7100 Pounds (1451.50-3220.50 Kilograms) of Biomatter Consumed from Tier 3.
168 Hours without Nourishment from Tier 5.
To get to Tier 4 requires some effort on the wearer’s part. Once again, the spikes on the shoulders become larger and tipped with crimson red paint. The jacket’s zipper fringe becomes lined with a red border, with four straps (two per side) attached to it. The collar saturates to a deeper red and the shoulder pads gain some extra pads, making it look like scale armor. On a related note, simple metal bracers are developed on the forearms, between the elbow and cufflink. The cufflink of the jacket also is changed to a red hue. The chains have now thickened and dangle more noticeably than before. Two new breast pockets have developed, complete with zippers and the ability to vore. Albeit, with smaller prey. Lastly, the jacket is now an inch or so longer; the fabric becoming tougher than most body armors available on market at this point.
Tier 5
23000-67500 Pounds (10432.63-30617.49 Kilograms) of Biomatter Consumed from Tier 4.
168 Hours without Nourishment from Tier 5.
Tier 5 requires a monumental amount of work to achieve, and as such it is rarely seen. The shoulder pads have developed into a new form, complete with new spikes, designs and a ball of blue eternal flame above it, as well as the collar developing into a deep red hood. New straps are grown on the upper arms of the jacket, two on each arm. The bracers have become more advanced, and rows and rows of miniature spikes line the polished metal. Four more straps are added to the front fringe of the jacket, and the zipper becomes even larger. Two more chains are added to the bottom, as well as the chains themselves becoming thinner and less bulky. More patterns, printed in red, are added throughout the coat’s design; the overall black hue of the coat becomes a bit redder in tint. It is to note that the coat is capable of withstanding most forms of trauma. The wearer, maybe not.
Tier 6
130000+ Pounds (58967+ Kilograms) of Biomatter Consumed from Tier 5.
Tier 6 was seen exactly once; when a town called Everret Falls was wiped off of the map in a week. The Coat of Famine has developed into a full trench coat and is more than capable of taking in prey many times its size. In this stage the shoulders had become even more complex, and the flames above it burn bigger and brighter than ever. The hood has new additions to its design, including a pointed and spiked plate the juts from it. Gone are the zippers, chains and straps. They are replaced with retractable ‘teeth’ made from cloth and metal. A grand total six separate pockets line the coat, each are more than capable of holding a victim inside. In addition, the upper arm straps have developed into semi-sentient appendages, which can stretch and whip prey into submission. The bracers have developed into full-on plated armor, with spikes jetting from the elbow area. At this stage it is unknown if there is another Tier past this point. But from an interview with the current holder of the Coat of Famine, he says the Coat is always hungry for more, so the answer is inconclusive at this time.

The Lighter of Death does exactly as you would think a lighter would do. however it's flame burns black when struck. it never runs out of 'lighter fluid' and the flame is actually incredibly cold to the touch. it CAN still burn you, just you cannot tell from the sensations. fire's started with this lighter will also burn black and lightless. the smoke bellowed from it takes form as demonic entities and are incredibly hazardous to any and all life around it, by literally choking the life out of them. and also draining and burning their lifeforce to nothing but ash.
anyone who possesses this lighter, is immune to its life-draining effects. the more life is snuffed by burning or suffocation, the more potent the effects are. more decals are added to the lighter, but not as great as the Coat of Famine. any items cooked/smelted with black flame become more potent than using regular flames. it is said that the energy from the lighter's victims is transferred by thermal convection, but it is hard to say at this time.
does that help~?

well allow me to elaborate:
War is usually associated with Red. there is a Red Phone in the white house used for extreme emergencies. like contingency plans, i.e. nuclear warfare. and i am sure anyone knows the power of communication. it makes sense~
Wrath is simple too. letters have been written angrily for centuries. as has suicide notes, which are the ultimate, albeit tragic, letters of Wrath. not to offend anyone of course, but that is the written word. Wikipedia says so~

Thanks for linking me here to answer my questions about how the coat worked, but, um, well, my main concern was whether or not the coat (under your care) can:
1. Bring the prey back to life while retaining the state it's in when they were absorbed.
2. The prey are alive within the jacket
3. Targets only cruel/horrible people
4. Or, (as I fear) if it just kills anything and everything that wears it (except for you) and or gets close to it (as long as you allow it).

Hehe, well, that's a good thing really. If I didn't ask then it would mean that I didn't like the art or your sona. I ask it because I like them, but I always have to know the answer to the "reformation/will they live" question before I can let myself like it. ^^
I'm weird like that, hahaha.
