BUUUUUHHHHHH-HUHHH-HUHHHH.
-weeps-
Nah, I'm fine...
Umm... You're all probably wondering why there's a semi-transparent Ampharos floating up into the night sky, aren't you? Well...
His name was Remo, and he was a valuable part of my trainer Karis's team. She was instantly enamored with him as a Mareep, even going so far as to
use an expensive - for her - Great Ball to make sure she caught him without having to do much harm. With the rest of her party, they traveled the regions
far and wide, defeating gym leaders right and left, and eventually taking on all of the League Challenges together. But Contests were her real passion.
Battles were tedious and led to her pokemon being injured. So, she retired her Champion's mantle and turned her sights on the latest fashion trends
and the latest and greatest recipes for poffins and pokeblocks. Sure, it was dull by comparison, but it kept her pokemon safe... A least, in theory.
She was competing in the final round for the regional Master-rank competition when her opponent decided to play dirty. He made his pokemon
use Earthquake, a devastating move that literally brought down the house. Lights burst; people panicked and scrambled for the exits as the curtains
were engulfed in flames. Karis helped a group to the door, but found herself trapped by a falling beam. Frantic, she tried for the other exit and heard a
splintering sound from above her head. She looked up in time to see the main support falling towards her. She closed her eyes and braced herself,
feeling something knock against her side and she blacked out... When she came to, she was wrapped in a safety blanket, her other pokemon, a
beautiful silver ninetails named Natalia, curled around her protectively. Remo was no where to be seen. His pokeball, now empty and cold is
clenched in her lightly burned hands...
TL;DR:
Remo died saving his trainer, Karis, from a terrible fire/building collapse during a Contest Final. SAD PANDAS.
I've been meaning to draw this for a while, but either haven't had the heart, the patience, or the skill to do so.
Sleep well, my prince...
