I saw that episode when I was sick. I wish she could have kept the powers, I'm tired of male hero storylines.

You've missed a few episodes, here's a summary of the Gwen's Powers story arc:


The voodoo guy returns for revenge on Ben and Lucky Girl, and enlists the ait of his niece/daughter (I forget which), Charmcaster.




Charmcaster returns for revenge after her defeat in the earlier episode.


Charmcaster returns yet again, seeking to steel Ben's alien powers to boost her own magic, and she attempts to do so by body-swapping with him. Her spell misses and she swaps with Gwen instead. At the end of the episode, Charmcaster is back in her own body and back in prison, while Gwen has Charmcaster's spellbook and the knowledge that her body is attuned to magic.

After this point Gwen progresses from a bumbling charlatan to a competent witch-in-training.
