It's a Car

It does car things, and it does them pretty well. It's not afraid of anything. It laughs at your front wheel drive, AND your rear wheel drive. Because why not both?

It also has funny shaped headlights and a big chin. But that's okay, because it's a Subaru. It also has no cruise control, which is annoying as hell.

But it's mine, and I love it.

I've never owned a vehicle with cruise control in my life, nor would I even know what to do with it if I did. When I do long roadtrips (and I do from time to time) my foot stays on the pedals the whole time.

It's really annoying on long drives, especially when you're going quickly on an empty road.

Some of the modern flappy paddle gearboxes are nice. I've driven a SLK-Class Mercedes with flappy paddles, and I was impressed. I have a feeling that's the way cars are headed.

Mercedes has always been the standard for cars 15 years from now. seriously, look at a mercedes from the 1980s and you'll see a car with features that are standard around 2000 or such.

Yea, my current Subaru has cruise control and I'd have a hard time living without it. I also seem to get better mpg using the cruise control.

Nice Impreza though, I'm hoping to upgrade to a WRX wagon sometime in the next few years or so.
