It's a silent night near a savannah somewhere in Afraca, yet there is danger in the air, coming from the jungle near the savannah. Three young african heroes stand on a hill at the borders of the jungle, looking ahead for the lurking dangers. They three daring heroes are:
Seenah, the deadly and silent cat-lion assassin.
Taomi, incredibly strong lion beast ninja who can get transformed into a terrifying lion monster.
Raimei, an intelligent and mysterious lion-tiger witch-doctor who possesses the ability to manipulate thunder and lightings, but suffers amnesia.
Can these young heroes outcome the dangers ahead and return alive and triumphant?

So yes, three of my old characters have returned and improved. I had grown tired of these characters' old looks so I decided to update them at least a little. Also I hadn't drawn any of these characters, Taomi, Seenah and especially Raimei for a really long time so it was about time to draw them again. Though I did draw them a lot about year ago when I made the first chapter of my comic "African Ninja" (not been uploaded anywhere, I'm still at the moment only selling real comicbooklet of this comic).

As you can see, first of all I improved Seenah by having her wear a black hooded cloak and a grey dress now and gave her new knife and short blade. Inspiration for her new looks I got from Assassin from Hexen II and Thief from Trine.

Then for Taomi I made him wear an eastern hat and an armored loincloth. Instead of a sword he's not using a huge war axe, because I found it much more appropiate for such a brute like him to use weapon like this. Besides I have too many characters already who's primary weapon is some kind of sword. Also Taomi's eyes are now a bit smaller and his fur is much more brownish (though it ended up looking rather orange). I was planning to make him have completly brown fur as I had originally planned back in 2002 when I created him because the original inspiration for this character I got from Kovu from Lion King 2. But I found out that completly brown fur maybe doesn't fit him after all. But anyway, inspiration for this new look I got from Dust from Dust: An Elysian Tail (which is really awesome game).

Then for Raimei, I didn't change his looks too much but made him have some clothing too. Since I actually had never thought of what kind of warrior he actually is, I decided that he is a witch doctor, which is appropiate since he lived among natives in a jungle and is really intelligent and can manipulate thunder and besides it's fitting for the whole Africa-setting. Inspiration for his new clothing of course I got from Witch Doctor and Wizard from Diablo III. And no, I didn't forget to add him pupils. I made him to have empty eyes like those nowadays.

I myself think Seenah, Taomi and Raimei sure look and feel much better and interesting characters now. What you think? Please comment. :)

Oh yes and by the way, I will give a cookie to everyone who can spot something from The Lion King in this picture. And I don't mean the Africa-setting or the fact I've gotten inspirations for these characters from it as well. :P
