POEM:
Come everyone, gather n listen to a tale of my education hard at work.
It all started in a little kitchen in a little house in a little town; an untidy abode did so make me frown.
Much of the benches was filled with a clutter, oh my how the mess would make me mutter; "Good heavens, good gracious! Why could we not have a place more spacious?"
But now was no time to stand back and brood, there were dishes to clean if I wanted some food.
So up my sleeves rolled, feeling courageous and bold, as I embarked on a journey like none ever told.
There was muck an grime! All stuck in slime, but I knew I could finish, all in due time.
But time it was lacking, I couldn't be slacking, for the dish pile; oh how it had been stacking!
I finished them to a shine, so tonight I may dine, but I haven't finished yet this tale of mine.
But the dishes were a test! "No! Surely you jest?"
I promise you, there was a harder foe to best!
Chaotic disarray wouldn't resolve my dismay, "Guess I'll be cleaning a lot longer today"
The benches were covered from the wall to the edge, I wanted to cry; "Damnit we need lemon pledge!"
The pens were awry and scattered about, but I am no fool (As I'm sure you don't doubt)
There was a small ball, a ball made of twine; this little ball would be the savoir of mine.
Inside lay a hole, wrapped within this string roll.
So I gathered the pens and I placed them all in. I marvelled to my genius (Surely vanity's no sin?)
I exclaimed out loud; "I'm so clever and proud!" as I lifted the ball above my head like a preacher to the crowd.
But the ball had no base, so the pens scattered all over the place.
I can tell you; you should have seen the look on my face!
