Excuse the geekery, but last night we saw a DMC, and it was awesome.

Actually, DMC doesn't exist at all. Its a Texas company that bought all of the parts that were left over when DMC went out of business. They're building new cars out of those old parts, and will also refurbish old cars from those parts.
They also offer a V-8 engine option if you were to buy a car from them.

Also, evidently that Texas company also owns the DMC brand and website: (Facts page) http://www.delorean.com/faq
I know
coopertom has one, and I am quite jealous of him. Those are great cars, I want an '82 DeLorean.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-garage28jul28,1,6560463.story there about what i was talking the 2008 version of delorean. also, read this : http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2011.....oming-in-2013/ i'm certain you will be happy :)
Nice. :) Apparently LHD, but still a good find! It wasn't that long ago (maybe 6-7 years) where I was regularly seeing Deloreans for sale for 7-10k depending on condition -- in Michigan, admittedly. Now they seem to be a lot higher than that, but I guess now that they're over 25 years old, they're officially classic. ;)
Incidentally, I've always been intrigued by Bricklins, as well. Similar idea, although from several years prior... and still relatively cheap (and ironically, about 3x as rare). Plus Bricklins have a ~5.8L engine. :)

The flux capacitor enabled travel through time. But then you have the rotation of the earth, the earth orbiting the sun, the sun orbiting the center of the galaxy and the galaxy moving away from where the big bang happened. That's a lot of movement over 30 and 70 years. What did Doc Brown do to account for that? How did he get his DeLorian to keep up with the earth and reappear in the exact same place on earth instead of reappearing in outer space which would have resulted in the death of the occupants?
I'm going to just put this right here for you. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l.....v2vuo1_500.jpg
