Random info that isn't important>> I recently had something I had repressed come back up.
Something threw me to the ground and I just wish I hadn’t remembered, but I suppose it was going to come back up some day.


Anyway, designing characters and writing their stories has to be my best coping mechanism, because I can pretend to be someone else for a while, y’know…?

Skylar is an odd character for me. He represents a lot of things that I don’t particularly like, but I need that. Something completely different.
On the surface, he seems to be either a happy go-lucky guy or a cold, manipulative asshole. It depends on what mood he’s in.
He loves to be around people, but he only cares about himself. He likes to party and have fun and just do whatever the fuck he wants.
But there was a situation in his life where he used one of my other characters. He assaulted her, claiming she had wanted him to. With that act, he lost all of his friends. They were appalled that he would ever do something like that.
Of course, story-wise, that was years ago, he’s moved passed that. Perhaps he repressed it?
Does that happen with the assaulter? Do they regret what they’ve done and repress it?
Well, I imagine at this point, he’s reminded of what he’s done.
Being out of touch with his old friends, he wasn’t aware of what had happened to the girl. Something happens, maybe he runs into one of his old friends. Maybe they talk and he tells him what happened to her. They tell him that she took her own life . Hearing this, maybe he freaked out, thinking it was because of him. Of course, that was only a part of it, but he’s the type to react immediately and storm out.
