And lots of them. Each of the 9 16in/50 guns can fire 2 rounds every minute, throwing 1800~2700lb projectiles up to 24 miles away --- with so much accuracy, the Iowas regularly flattened single buildings with single rounds, on-demand!

Two on the left are obviously loopholes for winches, but I'm not sure what the rest of them are for.

Hell yes!

I was surprised as hell that it was good.

So was I, and it was surprisingly imaginative; the enemy went to great pains to avoid attacking noncombatants, they pursued specific, rational objectives, and they couldn't withstand conventional weapons. They were also extremely similar in physiology to Humans, without looking like "Bumpy Forehead" aliens; a concept which actually has a lot of scientific viability.

The ability of the "Mighty Mo" to advantageously exchange terrible punishment was also a fun little highlight --- but they could have *PWNed* that enemy flagship in the first salvo if they had anything better than training rounds. XD

Eeeyup. It was really a good movie. Who'da thought.
