DA has a contest currently for recreating older work. I've been needing an artistic shove lately and that's an awesome one. I dug through my gallery a bit and saw the original to this... and it HAD to be remade. It was too painful to leave in my gallery otherwise. X)

So here is Prismic, a shapeshifting white dragon with a multicolored maine. Sadly this is only his second appearance in my gallery. I really should do more with him. He is quite a fun character for me to work with.

Anyways, as you can see in the before and after (here) there is quite an improvement and style change. The main part of this is, I'm moving away from line-art. I've never been happy with my lines, I felt they always distracted or damaged the image in some way. But I've also been struggling a bit lately to keep my painterly footing. But after this experience I feel a lot more confident in my progress.

Not sure how well it will appear here on FA, but it says "past" and "future" in Latin in his eyes.
