By the time Rodent realized exactly what the red-and-black striped dragon had in mind for him Aris had already lunged toward him, the hunger evident in his slitted yellow eyes giving Rodent only enough time to throw his arms in front of him before the stocky reptile had pushed him down onto his back, arms pinned down and a bruise forming on the back of his skull as Aris leaned in close smirking as his muzzle almost touched the rat's nose "It's not so bad really. I mean one like you wouldn't have survived out here but this way rather than slowly dying from the cold, your passing will be quick and relatively painless." Not that it mattered really at this point however, for Rodent's fate was now up to the dragon and it seemed he had the perfect place to put the rat..

Rodent's reaction is perfect as Aris pounces at him, and the look to Aris is wonderful. I love that hungry look in his eyes, with the open mouth and tongue hanging out, beautifully adding to that effect.
The nose to nose touching is wonderful, especially with Rodent having his eyes clenched shut, as if that will somehow make it stop. I could just imagine his thoughts as he hears that it will be relatively painless. :)
