Banjo Threeie Wii U Cover
For those of you that don't know, Nintendo is currently in negotiations with Microsoft to buy Rareware back since mid-July of this year. A recent report reveals that if Nintendo is successful in the negotiations, Rare, as well as all their franchises, including Conker and Banjo Kazooie, will be integrated into Retro Studios, one of their divisions. Rumor says that Retro Studios already has the next Banjo Kazooie game made, and they're just waiting on Nintendo to close the deal on getting Rare back into their ownership to make the game official.
Now, me being the eternal optimist, believe that Nintendo could very well achieve this feat. Let's be honest, Rare hasn't been doing very well since they released that ghastly BK Nuts and Bolts game. All they do now is avatars and stuff, nothing really worth while. They're not making the same money they were making when they were making games for the SNES and N64. And to make things worse, Microsoft has forbidden Rare from making some of their best franchises, including Killer Instinct. So by now, the Rare peeps must know what's in their best interest and go back to where they started and redeem themselves.
So with that in mind, I took it upon myself to make a cover of what could be the first Banjo Kazooie game to be on a Nintendo console in over a decade.
And before anyone says anything, yes, I believe it will be called Banjo Threeie. No person in his right mind would accept Nuts and Bolts as canon.

well a lot of former and current Rare employees have gone on record saying that they hate working for MS, and that they preferred working with Nintendo because they had more freedom under the Big N. However, MS letting go of Rare seems like a pipe dream thanks to them cashing in on Killer Instinct on XBox One, but odds are that might not be the case considering that XBOne sales may suck due to their bad publicity and business decisions, if anything we can either hold out for Reggie and Satoru to bring the R back, or hope to hear something about the planned spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie. Hell if Mighty No. 9 is any indication of the power of the Megaman fanbase, then surely the spiritual successor to BK will bring forth the true fans support.
I am honestly not sure about a spiritual successor. The first thing I look at before playing a game (other than if it's a genre of game that I like) is its characters: Are they likeable? Do they have personality? If they were to make a spiritual successor to Banjo, would the characters have the same charm to them? Would Banjo's successor still be a bear or some other creature? Would the character be jolly and dopey like Banjo, or would it be snarky and egotistical like a lot of other anthro characters? Would he even BE anthro? I don't even want to imagine a human Banjo successor. *shivers* And what about the alternate counterparts to other characters like Gruntilda or Humba, or even Bottles? I thought Bottles was just about the most adorable thing in Nuts & Bolts. He always looked so sad and he had a quiet muffled voice that displayed a sad character. I guess with a spiritual successor you can't stay TOO true to the original game, but you shouldn't stray too far away, either.
I would love to see another Banjo Kazooie game be put into play, and if they can, I wonder if they're have all the games put together for one more battle with Grunty, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. There was also the Game Boy Advance Banjo Kazooie Grunty's revenge version too. Wonder if the creator will add that in the new banjo Kazooie game?
