Fursuit Head How To 4
All those areas between the wires need to be covered in plastic canvas using zip ties. This really firms up the structure. When that is done, cover over the surfaces with felt which will smooth over any rough edges and give your fur a better surface to glue to with hot melt glue.
I use a solid section of black canvas over the eye area since I use that matieral for the pupils of the eyes. The eyes are made of floam, or colored foam sheet cut out to the shape I want.
From that point, add foam to build up areas, add fur to taste, etc. I won't cover that bit since that's really a whole different subject, but this was the quick and dirty tutorial on wire/plastic canvas construction.

Body suit... you get a generic pattern from McCalls or other pattern supply at the local sewing shop. That will give you a very basic form which can then be modified to what you want.
As for my roo costume I completed, I built up foam over a dummy, then used felt sheets to cover the foam, drew in my seam lines where I wanted them, then cut out the felt pieces to use as patterns. It worked perfectly. :)
