The armor is out right pointless. She has so many vulnerable spots that there is no real point in the carrying the weight of the armor that she does have on. A chain coat would have been a far better choice to wear.

As for her weapon I have no clue what that is supposed to be. It looks like a Zulu movie prop spear. Its to short to be a pole-arm and way to awkward to be used as a sword.
