He pounded at the wall, a million miles long and higher than his sight would allow him to see. Not even his mightiest punches would leave more than a scratch on the impossibly resilient wall, rather skinning his knuckles and causing each strike to splatter his crimson blood on the wall and himself.
But it was only a fantasy...
He crouched low and leaped a hundred feet high, his hand stretched out for some sort of ledge, hoping to find some sort of means to get past the immense obstacle, but he simply couldn't get a grip or even see the top. It was all hopeless.
The wall was too high, as you can see...
Tears welled up in his eyes, and he let out a scream of fury as he tried in vain to scale the walls, scratching at the brick until his claws ground down to his fingertips. Even then he kept on, groping for a handhold with his fingertips until the skin scraped away, leaving bloody finger smears and handprints on the otherwise pristine wall of grayish brick, pounding with his fists in a blind rage.
No matter how he tried, he could not break free...
Defeated, he fell against the wall, sobbing, his head bowed as het let his blond locks obscure his face. He hadn't the energy to even hug his tail anymore, nor the will to force his exhausted body to do anything else. Futile... It was all futile in the end. He simply accepted his fate: forever denied happiness or freedom by the wall.
And the worms ate into his brain...
Vent writing.
