A brilliant work by Azany. I guess it's just the first of who knows how many ^_^
And now for some synopsis:
Yep, tjin are oviparous species. The whole clutch rarely strays from four eggs, and hatches in several months. Newborn tjinlings are being nursed for a few more months, until their bodies mature to relative self-sustenance (at least they're able to live off some berries and blood of small animals), and then left in the wild to natural selection. Survivors develop intelligence in about ten years and then return to society to be educated for about five more years, and are considered adult from that moment.
Though biologically tjinni bodies mature fully in about five years after birth, so, usually, the first clutch is laid before developing intelligence and maternal instincts (yep, those are interconnected in chryses' genes), and thus is abandoned.
