This was a picture I drew about 6 years ago. I didn't even draw the bg, just used an animation program to edit it. XD; On the right is my improved version of it, all done completely by me. =w=
I think I've improved quite a bit. It was really fun to draw this character again. :3 I liked Railen~ He was an interesting character fo me to have created. He was a character from a book I was writing about a girl who got hit by a car and started being able to see spirit-creatures. Everyone had a spirit guardian in this story, and this one was hers. It was supposed to be kind of a tiger-wolf who could control lightning, but this time I drew him very much like a tiger. I just wanted to. >w>

I really like both of them. The one on the left looks like an old cartoon; like he-man style or something, and the coloring is well done and smooth. So nice work 6 years ago. :)
The one on the right looks slightly more realistic and obviously is smooth ´cause digital. The proportions look more catlike and the fur is really well done. So good new work! :D

Yes~ I just got into digital art about 3 months ago, and I like how easy it is to make the coloring smooth. =w= Actually, everything is a bit easier with digital art. XD I still love doing traditional art. There are some effects you just can't get with digital. But if I just want to get an image out of my head and onto something see-able to everyone, digital art is the best option. Thank you very much!

I find traditional easier as far as motor control, but digital is more forgiving; you can fix ANYTHING. So there are pluses to both methods. :D I find that to get a traditional effect on digital you just have to treat it the same. The picture I JUST uploaded took me 3 days because I wanted it to look traditional. xD Of course I did an overlay and that messed it up but I like a little color on my pictures so blah. lolol
