Morph Squad is run by
wyraachur and
zohaku . Consider this a piece of gift art for them.
Anyways, my character in the Morph Squad is Mao, a young 20s person who has a couple legendary morphs. It also details how a new character will be joining the Morph Squad, Mao's stepsister Celine. Psych, bet you thought it'd be Maya, huh?
Mao's family, aside from Celine, will likely remain background characters, unless they can be incorporated into a story arc.
As a science bit, Maya's O.I is like my sister's: A type I random mutation. (Which is why her mother and Mao don't have it.) While Type I is the most mild type of Osteogenesis Imperfecta, it can still really cause some serious injuries because every day bumps and bruises can cause a bone fracture. Maya's spinal injury was in fact inspired by someone who had Type I O.I and suffered a spinal fracture after they slipped fell down the stairs. They were fortunate enough to have not suffered any permanent spinal injury, but you do have to be careful on stairs. My sister has Type I O.I and last year managed to break a bone around her hip (not her actual hip, mind you) when she slipped on the stairs in the back yard.
There that's better. FA always borks text up somehow. Even Google Docs does it...I'm trying to edit it so FA's in-story viewer doesn't bork it. (Sorry, I'm a tad too spoiled by sites that're better for stories.)
