In Chapter 2, Serena comes face to face with Keela, an alien being who emerged from a deep sleep capsule which landed in her field. Keela is a sapiosaur, a type of reptilian species from Exodia, looking something like an overgrown frilled lizard.

Keela is dismayed to find that he is now stuck on a planet with no useable space travel and a race seemingly hostile towards alien lifeforms. With only a teenage girl for company, he takes shelter with her inside a barn where he explains to her about his troubled past on Exodia.
