Midnight Star, whose name totally has nothing to do with a 1980s music group, is one of the bat-winged pegasi that serves Princess Luna. She is also a secret agent who wanders Equestria on the lookout for suspicious activity. She is a master of stealth and disguise with unmatched cunning. By which I mean she puts on a hat and talks in a funny voice. But since all of the other ponies are nice and won't point out the fact that she's different and weird, instead just playing along with whatever stupid secret identity she has invented, she just thinks she's fooled them with her expert disguise skills.

She spy-walks around town, peeking out from behind trees, and when all the other ponies don't pay any attention to her because she's such a weirdo she thinks it is because she's a master of stealth who has gone completely unnoticed. She also keeps crashing because she puts on a trench coat to look cool then tries to fly with her wings tangled up, and she keeps bumping her head into trees because she thinks there's a hidden passage into a secret spy lair there. Except every now and then she's right...
