none of those things need buying friend. if you want overpriced pickup a MMORPG game that charges you a subscription fee per month of play. tf2 is the least of them. and the updates are free usually the only thing you pay for is stuff that doesn't change how you play the game. a perfect idea really. if you don't care to buy anything don't there is no advantage and no benefit to having the paid items. just a bigger ego is all. besides most buys are a buck or two.
