Once again, Rarity’s body surged outwards, sloshing thickly as her massive body undulated. Her hooves had sunken in completely, only hinted at by the divots in her sides. Her head was on the way to a similar fate, the furrows deepening around her puffy face. Clearly aware of this, the unicorn looked back, watching her own flesh expanding around her, pushing her ears flat against her head. Even her mane was beginning to suffer as well, unable to resist the encroaching weight of her billowing body. The amulet was nearly concealed by her distended hide.

Chrysalis couldn’t tell if the unicorn was pouting, or if it was the result of how much her lower lip had blown up. The changeling queen wrinkled her snout, growing impatient with the repeated, but consistently unsuccessful escape attempts.

“Will you please just-”

“You won’t get away with this!” Rarity interrupted. Even though she sounded furious, her worry-heavy brow and the tremble in her voice betrayed her fear.

“Oh, you’re still trying to play heroine? How cute. And what are you going to do? Smother me with yourself?”
