Bio: Gavin was a child slave, sold by his mother to pay for her addictions, saved from life in a brothel by Sylvan. She took him in and raised him as if he was her own, giving him a first rate education and all of the advantages her position offered.

Once he graduated from the Academy of the Blue Wings, Gavin was made Sylvan's personal bodyguard at his insistence: he wished to repay the sorceress' kindness by protecting her.

Like all elves, Gavin has both a long lifespan and an inherent ability to use magick. His appearance is youthful and will remain so for decades. While he doesn't have the same magickal talent as a battlemage or hedge wizard, he can cast simple spells.

He is devoted to his adopted mother, defending against any who would threaten her. His skilled swordsmanship makes him an opponent to be feared and his enchanted sword and shield make him even more deadly.
