I am making a set of 5 elemental-based dragons for a school project, but also to actually sell as prints! Hence my watermark being in the middle of the image for once, usually I put it down the bottom in the corner :3
The dragon set will be:
Earth
Fire
Ice
Air
Dark (Swamp-like)

The watermark positioning really ruins the middle of the picture. A signiture or your typical watermark is enough hon. I don't think you should be so worried about art theft that you ruin it for the rest of us. Thanks for accepting my critizism.

I still don't really agree. then it just feels like money is her only incentive to do what she does. Not like I'm gonna save the picture to my computer and print it out anyway. Sure, I would save it if I like it, but only to browse or, at most, use as a desktop background. I assume that's what most people do with the art here.
well right now this school project WAS for money-making purposes only. It's to make a product to sell. As much as I'm enjoying making these images, I'm just just drawing dragons for the hell of it. Goldenwolf and other similar artists position their watermark in the middle for the same reason, for print selling. So I'm just following what they do, and they appear to be quite successful.
