oh good i am glad that worked cause my other option was 'tinkle tinkle' which, while traditionally the sound glass makes when it breaks and falls, REALLY LOOKS SILLY and 'sounds' silly when you read it in that situation.

Dr Martin Ellingham is the central character in a BBC production called Doc Martin(played by Martin Clunes).
Premise: Prestigeous London surgeon acquires a blood-phobia and can no longer perform surgury. A friend refers him to a GP position in a small Cornwall fishing village known as Port Wenn.
Dr Ellingham has NO bedside manner whatsoever. He's terse, blunt, and tends to see everything literally. He does have an inner emotional life, but is clumsy expressing it.
He does have occassional impassioned poly-syllabic outbursts in the face of blatant ignorance and stupidity.
Can perhaps be seen on your local PBS station, aired weekly.
Or DVD's through your library or Netflix maybe.
