Shadow has gotten Link into trouble. The Fierce Deity has promised to get him out again. But Link isn't so sure he wants that help, the price may well be more than he's willing to pay.
More Zeldafic, woo. :) There are a few more chapters left in this plot arc, hopefully you'll enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
(And if you did, comment plz. Good comments on my stuff make me ever so happy!)

Whoa. Spotted this on the front page, so it's the first chapter I've read. I'm absolutely stunned. I'll be reading the rest immediately and watching for more! I don't have much experience with Zeldafics, but from the quality of the fanfics I've read from other fandoms...I'm quite certain this is one of the few Zeldafic gems. Definitely one of the best I've read on any subject. I never really considered the possibility that Darmani, Mikau, the Deku, and Fierce Deity might actually take up residence inside of Link, causing a rather severe split personality case. I definitely like this idea! I know what it feels like to have another entity/personality demand control for my protection. This is a story I can relate to!
On top of all that, your spelling and grammar appear to be perfect. If any mistakes were made, I didn't see them. I like the use of colons to indicate mental communication(?). It's so hard to tell who hears what when thoughts are conveyed with quotation marks.
Overall an astounding piece of work! I like forward to reading the rest.
Cheers!

I just finished catching up. I'm madly in love with your fanfic. The suspense. It's absolutely unbearable. D8 If you should stop writing now, I would surely die. I MUST HAVE MOAR.
Deity is such a badass. I always wanted to hear his story! I wish you could send this fic to Nintendo...it would be so cool if they decided it makes a very good timeline-filler and promoted it as canon.
I'm impressed with your knowledge of Zelda lore. Calatia...not a well-known city, even in the Zelda fandom! It was featured only in the comics. However...you seem to have overlooked a Calatian fact: "We're in the tall tower of my palace. As you know, Calatia has no dungeons, so this is the worst cell they could manage." ~Queen Seline of Calatia. You're in the business of tweaking the story, though, so that's perfectly acceptable. ;3
I'm getting a serious urge to play through the Zelda games again now. I will forever imagine as I'm playing the older games that I am reading one of the many stories of the Hero in Hyrule's library. <3 Especially when I see Fierce Deity, the Dark Hero of Termina who slayed a dragon (one of my kind, unfortunately) and leveled a city with his Helix Sword and the Hero's long-forgotten swordbeam skill. But I wonder...how did Deity die? We only know of his quest at Ikana. Perhaps Calatia's vast library holds a more detailed book on the subject. *Le subtle hint* ;D
You put so much life into each character. Even the dead ones. ^^ Scrub is adorable, Darmani is wise, Mikau is so damn cool, Shadow is a pest (and he reminds me of myself in some ways), and Deity...well. He's Fierce. And stubborn. And arrogant. And a total badass. Just as he should be. You never overdo the personalities or mannerisms, they always match the in-game counterparts. The backstory is accurate, the concepts are original, the locations are vividly painted...The Zelda Universe just gained a whole new dimension; a level of realism and beauty that the games could never capture.
Thank you for bringing back the Zelda nut in me.

Aww. :) Thank you so much! I'm really glad you like it.
I mostly know about Calatia from reading another fanfic that featured it, so I will freely confess to being in error there. But who knows, perhaps this is later and they since built some dungeons? :D Or earlier and the one Link was in was since destroyed.
Anyway, I really appreciate your comments, and I'm glad you like this so much.
I have actually written the next several chapters, which bring the story to a natural stopping point. I've also outlined and done a little writing on quite a lot more afterwards, this is basically going to be kind of a trilogy, with part one being the Majora's Mask story, part two being the current tale, and then part three being an epic adventure that will wrap everything up without too many loose ends left lying.
As far as more writing about Deity, I do love him as a character, and it's not out of the question, but right now I don't have a lot of ideas for what else to do with him. I would certainly love to write more about him though, so I'll be pondering what other stories I could tell. And I have lots of other Zelda fic ideas, I'm working on quite a few. I just sometimes work slowly, so I don't know when they'll be ready to share.
Thanks again! The next chapter will be up sometime this week.

Excellent! I look forward to reading more.
Calatia is where Link originated in the comic. His parents live there. He left one day on a quest in the neighbouring kingdom of Hyrule. When he came back, Dark Link had taken over Calatia. Link saved the day, of course, and the people declared him the Hero of Calatia.
Last night...I had a dream that I was reading your Zeldafic. The part I was reading was about Twilight Princess. I looked up the timeline when I woke up. On the official Zelda timeline released in the Hyrule Historia, Skyward Sword sees the birth of Ganon, followed by Minish Cap, Four Swords, and Ocarina of Time. there are three possible futures after Ocarina of Time. If Link is defeated, LttP comes next, followed by the Oracles, The Legend of Zelda, and Zelda II. This is known as Hyrule's Decline. If Link beats Ganon in OoT, there are two different timelines: the Adult and Child timelines. In the former, Ganon has been defeated, the Hero sent back in time, and the timeline continues with the memory of Ganon's rule. Ganon is revived, Hyrule is flooded, and thus begins Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks. This is the New World. In the Child Timeline, Link prevents Ganon from ever taking over. The Sacred Realm is saved, and Link goes to Termina to begin Majora's Mask. The Prince of Thieves Ganondorf is executed by the Sages, but he pulls an Obi Wan and becomes more powerful, killing the Sage of Water. The remaining Sages banish Ganon to the Twilight Realm, and the Twilight Era later begins with Twilight Princess, followed by the Shadow Era in Four Swords Adventures. This is called the Dark World. So if your fanfic timeline is matched to the official timeline, Twilight Princess does come next. For some reason, I already knew that...Actually, I could see the Hero of Time growing up to become the Twilight Hero long after Majora's Mask. The Twilight Hero is an adult. There's still a good ten years before the Hero of Time will be old enough for that! But it's really more likely that the Twilight Hero is a future incarnation of the Hero.
Just speculation. Dreams tend to do that to me. ^^;;
Take your time writing! It wouldn't be half as good if you tried to rush through it. ;3

*laughs* Force Deity wins by intimidation. Epic.
