yeah, I agree, add some canine teeth. that would help.

You'd be surprised how easy it is to get a lioness looking like a mouse, especially with their round ear shape. My mate's fursona is one, and to this day she still has occasions where her sketches come out looking mousy.

Start by making the tip of her nose parallel to the forehead by raising the incline bridge (where the snout meets the face before going vertical between the eyes) and making it diagonal from the forehead to the nose. Make her muzzle more Square-esque instead of slender by pulling her lower-jaw forward so her lower-lip lines up with her upper-lip making certain the nose slightly extends just after the lips. Cleft the upper-lip in the style of the lower-half of a "C".

Um, okay, I have to know. given comments up thread and the length of time it took, is this acrylics?

There were a looooot of things that contributed to the length of time this took, on both my part and the client's. I won't deny there was some procrastination involved, mostly because I'd never done anything this big before and ended up biting off a lot more than I could comfortably chew :/ However the vast majority of it was me just nitpicking myself into oblivion.

We are all our own worst critic. I can't say how many times I've scrapped an entire track just because I couldn't get it just right. But in the end, this turned out incredibly and I do hope that some amount of joy can be attained that positive feedback is coming in.

I for one love this pic for the attention to detail, and hope the commissioner does as well.

Two years? It certainly shows in the quality and detail. I really like it. :)
