This is my first shot of the Iowa's big guns --- along with other essential facilities!
Navy sailors *wish* these were regular fixtures on the decks of warships. :P

I know --- the "Mighty Mo" went right into use as a museum when it was stricken, while the Iowa spent a good decade rotting away in Suisun Bay, while the Navy and civilian authorities debated what to do with her.
I couldn't believe my luck when I heard that she found a home in San Pedro, which is probably the closest seaport in California to where I live.
The "Big Stick" gets lots of visitors though, and the museum is steadily profiting from it. Hopefully, they'll get her in ship shape pretty soon!

Not to belittle the crisis that the USS Texas is enduring, but the USS Olympia has WAY bigger problems;

The museum's own proposed solution? Scuttle her!;

Yep, the very same staff whose members were caught embezzling $1.5 Million from the ship's funds, and who also allowed the Olympia to become so dilapidated in the first place.
