salmagundi (formerly Growly Genet) totally did this badge for me at MFM 2012! It is super awesome. My scanner pulled it kind of crooked, and the colors washed ever so slightly. But it's very pretty!

There is a slightly amusing story about how I came into this piece. (Aside from Jackie being awesome, I mean!)

They have a gumball machine set up at their booth, stuffed full of capsules. Inside a few capsules, there are winning tokens worth a commission. Needless to say, I made sure to bring a roll of quarters specifically for the task. I emptied maybe fifteen dollars in quarters into that thing, nearly draining the machine. After I used my last quarter, someone else walked up behind me and threw a random quarter in as I was starting to get some change.

First quarter, random stranger. WINNING TOKEN. That was an ongoing joke up until it actually happened. And then he gave the token to me. I wish I knew who he actually was, because he was super cool.

I also had a ton of trinkets to give away. Almost everyone at the con probably received a "FREE STUFF" from me for the rest of the day.
