"turning to stone" was more for that headshot pic :/
but, yeahhh, "coughing up heart" seems about right. I was going to have like a hole in her chest, where you could see ribs and torn flesh and all that good stuff....but it was weird to draw and looked funky. simpler is sometimes better anyways

wellll, you're actually not too far off x3
as you may (or may not) know, ximena is a shapeshifter. in the original idea i wanted to go for a cross between hyena and gargoyle (for symbolic reasons~), one changing into the other
...although it didn't quite come out like that....its now like bat-demon-thingy >.>
but hey, since you picked up on it, maybe i'm not as far off as i'm thinking
