A gray wolf male born in a region where people of his race and origin were treated as slaves, he escaped from that life and was raised by a city-side nun. Under her guidance, he learned how to look beyond his past and focus on the future.
Alek is very adept in combat. As a slave-born, he was worked roughly and was thrown in pit-fights for his masters' entertainment. It was actually through these very fights that he managed to escape enslavement, though not without getting a scar on his face while doing so.
Through this event, he has learned to put aside fear to accomplish his goals. Just as well, fighting became a guilty pleasure for him.
In spite of his otherwise lack of fear, Alek is terrified of katanas.
He usually wears a solemn expression which reflects his calm demeanor. He has a direct manner of speaking, partially due his limited knowledge of language.
He decided to become a policeman to repay the nun and reduce crimes in the city. He still visits her at least once a year on the day she took him in.
---
An 'official' bio for Alek. I often think of situations and scenarios with him in it and I enjoy drawing him. Fun fact: this his first appearance in color and in this outfit. I think it fits him nicely.
...still not good at shading, I think. Ah, oh well.
