The show tends to favor short, stubby proportions for their characters (I guess 'cause they're cuter), and I tried drawing Garret like that in my tests before starting this comic. I decided that lanky and gangly would be more fun, hence the big, long beak and skinny limbs.

Thank you! I actually wrote the script for this comic to be about the length of a 2-parter, so you're not alone when it comes to imagining what this would look like as a real episode.
As for the demon pony's identity (if not her motive), I think we'll find out by page 16 or 17. :)

Er well, I would assume not TOO long as I'm a cartoonist myself, I don't do scripts unless its truly necessary.
To be honest, I could see this as being part of the canonical series. I'd really like to see that.

The "script" is about 17,500 words, though it's written in the format of a novel, so I don't know if that adds to or takes from the practical length.
Don't worry, demon pony's identity has hints dropped about it as early as page 12, it's only by page 17 that it's explicitly stated.
