During the fall season where I live there are a variety of festivals and such. This past weekend I went to a native american gathering with much food, drinking, traditional dancing, and buying of christmas gifts ^_^;;

As one could guess by the dynamic pose here there was a demonstration of a flight dance or a bird dance. Had I been paying even a modicum of attention to the clans and tribes around me (I was a little busy chasing down my two year old) I could tell you more about what I saw.

But I didn't so I can't. Life's a bitch.

I've got a number of bird characters...this first sketch is for the Canary in a story about two small house pets falling in love. I wanted a pose for him coming down from his cage and landing lightly on the table. Still not sure how I want to do the wings.
