The temperature at that altitude is roughly -70F. The aluminum skin of the aircraft actually keeping the cold in the airplane, his only hope of survival being his electrically heated flight suit and oxygen mask. Ice forming around the edges of his mask and goggles. Sitting in the cramped cockpit, using his parachute as a seat cushion on a metal jump seat with a tank of AV gas behind him. For up to seven hours at a time, in radio silence, with no bathroom, and numbing cold. This is the environment where the sabertooth wolf thrives.
Another high altitude engagement here, both aircraft twist and turn, trying to get on their other's six to bring their guns to bear.
I've been working on this one for some time now, been mostly trying out some new shadowing and background techniques. Think it was worth it ^^

For some reason, even though it isn't the space craft I prefer using it still makes me think Thunder Force some reason. Now if you perhaps had a previous model of my craft I do I'd say "Yep, straight from a SEGA classic." ^w^

I love the design of your Super J7. Sleek, sexy, and forbidding.
Push planes, specifically the J7W Shinden, were instantly a favorite design of mine upon first seeing them in the "Strikers 1945" arcade game as a kid (which also has the theme of prop-planes in the upper atmosphere, and the Moon!). Also reminds me of the G-1010 Silver Sword from "Battle Garegga". So that doubles the attraction.
